As part of gaining deeper insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of microservices testing and QA, I had the privilege of attending the Starwest 2024 conference, where one of the highlights was the insightful session led by Tariq King, CEO and Head of Test IO. His session on Full-Stack Testing for Microservices Architectures highlighted the growing leverage of microservices in modern applications and their seamless alignment with Agile and DevOps practices. He shared how microservices enable faster and more frequent releases, perfectly suited for today’s need for agility.

In the current software market, products are being introduced in the market at a very fast rate, with new versions being brought out almost every month, if not weekly. This is a good thing as it keeps the products evolving, but at the same time, it is not without its problems, and the most evident of these is the existence of problems and bugs.

As a result, banks and financial firms are developing advanced mobile banking applications and online platforms to meet these expectations. However, it is important to note that banking apps are sophisticated and involve handling important/ sensitive data. This is why security testing is important, especially when creating a new prototype or designing a new application.

Manual testing is essential for mobile applications to find most of the defects that may impact how well the application is made. It helps testers to use the application as a normal end-user experience and is good for finding bugs that mobile automated testing would not reveal.

Selecting the most suitable mobile app testing tool for automation is a critical decision. It impacts the resources required, the project's cost, and the overall development timeline. While numerous commercial testing tools exist, each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Mobile app testing is a process of checking its functionalities, interface, compatibility with different devices and operating systems, speed and reliability, security, and availability for people with disabilities. The goal is to examine the program in order to detect every possible flaw and eliminate it before the application is made available to the audience.
